No. 2 - Legend Valley

The first leg of Summer Tour was one to remember, featuring outstanding shows in Maryland, South Carolina and Tennessee. With the band in fine form, no doubt leg two will feature much of the same across the board, especially with a return to familiar venues in Legend Valley and Swanzey in addition to a two night homestand in Connecticut.

Legend Valley is what’s really drawing my attention, though. For those that haven't been or may be unaware, Legend Valley is on the hallowed grounds of the former Buckeye Lake Music Center, home to half a dozen Grateful Dead shows between 1988-1993. But the flashback that steals my attention was years later in September 2018 when Legend Valley was home to the Resonance Festival. Originally, Goose had scheduled three sets: a late night acoustic set on night one, a VIP set night two,
and an afternoon Saturday Tent set.

Long story short,  the acoustic late night set was scratched and Goose played a full electric late night set, albeit with some technical difficulties, which is to say the band could not hear anything on stage including each other or  themselves. Miraculously, this did not hold them back one bit as they opened with a banging So Ready and closed the night with an epic Wysteria > Hot Tea featuring Rob Compa of Dopapod. Music aside – which was exceptional! – that weekend holds a special place in my heart as it was the first time I was able to finally meet a ton of fans I had become friends with through Goose.

Although the following year Resonance moved away from Legend Valley to Slippery Rock, PA, Goose has managed to stay a staple on the resonance lineup for years to come.  I never expected to have so many friends in the Midwest, but because of this band I have been able to develop relationships with people all over the country that I never would have. The people in this community are some of the best people in the world and without all of you the band would not be able to continue what they do.

I can’t wait to get back on the road and meet some more of the flock as well as catch up with old friends! Keep your eye out for me in places like Montana, Denver, Maine, Massachusetts and Connecticut, and be sure that you are
So Ready for Tour!
